Turned wood for the kitchen and table, made in Danbury, CT

Platform was established in 2001 by Zach Hadlock and relocated from Bushwick, Brooklyn to Danbury, Connecticut when he and his wife, Alyson Baker, moved to Katonah, New York in 2011. Specializing in custom furniture using the highest quality materials – including locally sourced hardwoods – Platform designs and produces pieces that are expertly crafted and meticulously hand finished. Platform is noted for home and office furnishings characterized by both elegance and functionality that draw on influences from American Colonial and Shaker furniture to Minimalist sculpture and Danish modern design. Along side his larger projects and his collaborations with artists, architects and designers, Zach makes tabletop items in metal, ceramic and wood. At Work:Shop he will be selling turned wood bowls, trenchers, trays and utility bowls made from storm felled trees salvaged in Northern Westchester and Southwestern Connecticut. Also available will be Alyson’s hand felted beach stones which can be used functionally as paper weights and door stops, decoratively placed on table tops, or collected in bowls or on platters.
